Facial Implants

Facial implants are used to enhance facial contours. These implants help provide a more harmonious balance to your face.

There are several types of implants although the most common are chin and cheek implants.

 A facial implant may shift slightly out of its original alignment. When this happens, a second surgery may be necessary to replace it in its proper position. Although infections are rare, when they are present the implant might have to be temporarily removed and replaced at a later time when the infection disappears.

Some implants are made of silicon. At present, no evidences show that this substance is harmful to your health. This procedure may be performed at the doctor’s office or in a clinic. The procedure may be performed under local or general anesthesia.
